All in all, I have quite enjoyed working on Drumler. Scraping, sanding and painting are all flow activities so time passes quickly; it’s quite meditative. The one problem has been the amount of time I have had to spend away from from the family. Solution: cue a family picnic on board.
The good news is we now have a lifting in date: Friday 30 May; so the next picnic should be on the Deben!
Hello Rupert,
Did you tie the Turks Head Knot on your tiller? If you did I’m impressed. If you didn’t, do not take it apart. You’ll be there a long time trying to put it back together!
Beautiful Laurent Giles, you should have a lot of fun with her. Sanding and painting, well it’s time out from all the tedious stuff we have to do.
Good luck to you
P. J. Brannagan.
P.S. How is my daughter shaping up?
Hi Paul, I’m definitely not undoing the Turk’s Head; wouldn’t have a clue how to tie one! I think David must have done it. Maybe I’ll see you on the Deben some time: Chloe tells me you sometimes sail up this way. She’s doing very well at the moment – we’ll miss her when she goes back to Uni.
All the best, Rupert
