One of the first things I wondered when I heard Drumler‘s unusual name – I had never even heard the word before – was how come Drumler?
Thanks to the Great God Google, within minutes I had discovered “The Sailors Word-Book”, a dictionary of Nautical Terms, published in 1867.

Which begs the question: what’s a Dromon?
So Drumler is either a small piratical vessel of war, or an ancient Saracen term for a King’s ship, as sailed from the 9th to 15th Centuries. Either way, great name!
