Poppy was built in 1993 by the International Boatbuilding Training College in Lowestoft, Suffolk. She is made of Iroko on steamed oak frames, all copper fastened, with a solid teak deck, and mahogany & teak down below, with oak cabin sole.
She has had one previous owner (who had her built) and current owners Dave & Helen Ranner have had her since 2003. She has been kept up to date and well maintained and in 2012 her hull & topsides were repainted and varnished, and her entire deck has been professionally repayed.
Poppy was recently to Tobi Mohnfeld, who (Dave Ranner believes) plans on keeping her at Kilmelford for the foreseeable future.
